Hi everyone! *waves*
Real Life is, IMHO, grossly over-rated sometimes. However, I have persevered, and am now on Face Book.
If any of you long-suffering souls wish to follow me there and catch up, I'd love to hear from you.
Just friend Morriganscrow Greenwell, and I will contact you back.

Yesterday was not the best of days.
I had five cats - the oldest a tabby, aged 18, my companion and friend for 14 hard years. Holly was my darling.
A couple of weeks ago, she developed a distorted lower jaw. It was bone cancer, and it was untreatable. I brought her home, with pain medication, and we had four final weeks together.
Yesterday, at 2pm, she was euthanized as I held her in my arms. Her fur was so soft. Her purr was silenced.
My heart broke.
R.I.P Holly. I love you.

LADIES, GENTS AND OTHERS - MY 'HAPPY DANCE OF JOY'!!
*performs*
*collapses in a breathless heap and downs a restorative cup of tea*
When my Gwen was in primary school, she was a bully-magnet, and had a hell of a time. Finally, in 4th grade, she met a young lad, Sam, a Kiwi, just arrived in Oz, Mormon family, no friends - they became best mates.
For almost a year they were inseparable, and we had him over to our place many times. He was a great kid, funny, kind, smart - all the things a Mum wants in their child's friends.
Then - WHAM - he was gone.
It seemed his father and step-mother weren't too pleased with how close the kids had become, especially as we were Pagans, and Sam loved Gwen and liked me.
He was yanked out of school, literally, at the end of one day near the end of the year, and dragged, again literally, to a car, him and Gwen screaming and crying and trying to reach each other, and they drove away - never to be seen again.
Gwen found out he'd been taken back to NZ, tried to phone, tried to send letters - all of which were blocked.
To say she was shattered and distraught would be an understatement.
SIXTEEN YEARS went by. Gwen tried to find him many times, without success.
UNTIL TODAY!!
Yep - today, in a bit of a freak turn, Gwen found a small, family-based website in NZ, tracing Sam's sister, Crystal...and there he was...on her friend's page!!
Sam is alive and well. He is also gay and a cross-dressing drag queen! Gwen was almost hysterical with tears and laughter when she called me to tell me.
Sam remembers her and they are now in contact.
Finally my bubby can get some closure on one of the most significant and traumatic episodes of her childhood - and hopefully go on to both re-build and newly build a relationship with Sam.
