I have done something that I hope isn't going to come back and bite me on the arse. I've taken on a portion of the group spork of HPaTGoF movie. Jeez! talk about dumping myself in at the deep end!
I have yet to spork a Sue, never mind the bloody movie. What was I thinking?
Other than that, life here remains quiet and orderly. The cats are well, even Ezekiel, who is currenly jammed into my chair with me. I think he's cold as all his fur is ruffled up.
My foster-son, Perry, has been told his brain tumour has grown 0.7cm and he wll have to go to a neurosurgeon in April to find out what needs to be done next. Given that his last surgery lost him 75% of his sight, it's fair to say we are all worried sick. Still, in the interests of keeping Perry's spirits up, we are all putting on brave faces.
Gwen has settled onto her anti-depressants well, and they appear to be doing the trick. She is feeling much better emotionally, and even the side effects are starting to settle.
I too am feeling better, although I am worried about Perry. I saw Prof. Strauss the other day, and I've maintained my 18kg weight loss for a year now. However, he doesn't think I can realistically lose any more unless I have gastric banding done. As this would cost between $4000 and $9000 as a private patient, and the waiting list for a public bed is 7 years, my chances of getting it done are slim...pun intended.
Well, that's all I'm up to typing today. I am going to go to PornishPixies and cheer myself up with some HPporn. TTFN
